THE BIBLE: The
Bible is our sole guide and set forth criteria for some bound people. We believe
that it supremely declares the “Holy Bible” of God, which our confidence in its
profound truth is essential to establishing our faithful religious practice.
THE SCRIPTURE: The Scripture, both the Old and New Testament, are verbally
inspired, the product of holy men of old who spoke as they were moved by the
Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). The Bible is the revelation of God to man, the
inert, authorities guide for faith and conduct (2 Tim. 3:15-17; Thess.2:13,
2Peter 1:21).
THE TRIUNE GODHEAD: The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternal,
self-existent, immutable, “I AM,” the Creator of the universe and the redeemer
of mankind (Deut. 6:4; Ex. 3: 14; Isa. 43:10.). God has further revealed Himself
as a triune being, but manifested in three personalities as Father, Son, and The
Holy Spirit (Isa. 48:16; Mat. 28:19; Luke 3:22). God the Father is greater than
all (John 14:28) the Source and the Begetter of the Word (John 1:14; 16:28). “No
man hath seen God at anytime the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of The
Father, He hath declared him (John. 1:18). The Son, is the Word , God incarnate,
the One begotten, and existed with the Father from the beginning (John.
1:14-18), being coequals with God (Phil.2:6). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth
from God the Father (John 14:26, John. 15:26), and is external (John. 14:16),
being promised by Christ from the Father to all cleansed believers (John.
14:16-17). The Holy Trinity - the term “Trinity” while not found in the
Scriptures is a term that conforms with the Scriptures. The New Testament
teachings of Christ express a relationship of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and
yet the “Trinity” is incomprehensible and inexplicable (Luke 1: 35; 1Cor. 1:24;
Mat. 28:19; 2Cor. 13:14; 1Jn. 1:1-3,4)
THE DEITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of
God, is divine shares in the Deity of God as the second person in the Holy
Trinity (Mat. 1:23; Jn.5:22,24 ; Jn.3; Heb.1:1-3).
ORIGINAL SIN AND THE FALL OF MAN: Man is a created being, made in the likeness
and image of God for said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”
(Gen.1:26). However the first man, Adam, by his transgression fell, and thus sin
entered into the world resulting in physical and spiritual death, which is
separation from God (Gen. 1:26,27; 2:17; 3:6-24 ; Rom.5:12-19). “For all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom.3:23). “ As it is written there
is none righteous, no not one” (Rom.3:10).
THE SALVATION OF MAN: Man’s only hope of redemption from the stain of sin is
through the shed blood of Christ, the Son of God (Luke 24:47). Salvations is
received through repentance (i.e., a change of heart, attitude, mind toward God)
and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12; Rom. 5:8-13; 10:9; Jas.1:21;
Eph2:8). The Spirit bears witness inwardly that we are saved (Rom. 8:16). While
there, is definite evidence outwardly of a consecrated life of righteousness and
holiness (Eph. 4:24; Titus 2:12). We believe that eternal life in heaven is the
reward of the righteous (Mat.24:13; Mark 13:13).
THE CHURCH: The true Church is the body of Christ (1Cor.12:12-27), to be the
edifice or institution, but the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit. Each
believe, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and the
Church of the firstborn, which was written in Heaven (Eph. 1:22,23 ; 2:22; Heb.
12:23).
THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH: Since God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to
save that which is lost (Luke 15:19) to be worshiped b all men, and build a body
of believers in the image of His Son, the mission of the Church is:
To be an agency (i.e. The Universal Church) for evangelizing the world through
Missionaries and World Outreach Charities (Acts 1:8; Mat. 28: 19-20: Mark
16:15-16).
To be a corporate body (i.e. The Local Church) in which man may worship God
(Cor.12:13)
To be a channel (i.e. The Universal and The Local Church of God’s purpose to
build a body of saints being perfecting in the image of His Son (Eph. 4:11-16;
1Cor.12:28;14:12).
THE ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH
A) BAPTISM IN WATER: The ordinance of baptism by immersion in water is commanded
in the Scriptures. All who repent of their sins and believe in Christ as Savior
and Lord are to be baptized (Mat.28:19; Mark 16:16). Baptism is a declaration of
a good conscience towards God, a symbol of the believers identification with
Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Acts 2:41; 10:47, Rom.6:4,5). We
officially recommend the following procedures for baptizing converts, “On the
confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His
authority, I now baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy
Ghost (Spirit)
B) HOLY COMMUNION OR THE LORD’S SUPPER: The Lord’s Supper consisting of the
elements- bread and the cup of the fruit of the vine- is the symbol expressing
our sharing the nature of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (2Peter 1:4) a
memorial of His suffering and death (1Cor.11:26; Phil.3:10) a prophecy of His
second coming (1Cor. 11:26 and is enjoined on all believers “till He come”
THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: Every believer is entitle to, and should seek
and expect to receive the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" (KJV, Holy Ghost). This
experience, which is an inducement of power for Christian service was active and
necessary in the early Apostolic church for the fulfillment of the ministry of
the Apostles (Luke 24:29; Acts 1:4,8; 1Cor. 12:1-31) We believe the "Spirit
Baptism" is district from and subsequent to the experience of the "new birth"
(Acts 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 15:7-9).
THE EVIDENCE OF THE BAPTISM IN HOLY SPIRIT: The Baptism of all born again
believers "in the Holy Spirit" is always witnessed by the physical evidence of
speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God give them utterance as the "gift of
tongues" (Cor.12:4-10,28), but different in purpose and use. These tongues are
not learned, but are a mystery, a gift as speaker is prompted by the Holy Spirit
(1Cor.14:2).
DIVINE HEALING: Divine Healing was clearly providing for in the Old Testament
(Ex.15:23-26; Ps103:1-3 ; Isa.53:4,5 ) and is an interregnal part of the New
Testament Gospel as taught by Christ, the Apostle, and the early church (Mat.
8:16, 17 Acts 5:16;Jas.5: 14-15). Deliverance from physical and mental diseases,
sickness, or ailments is provided for Atonement (Mat. 8:16, 17; Jas. 5:14-16).
Divine healing is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith the
laying of hands (Mk. 16:18 ; Jas. 5:14-15) fervent prayer (Jas.5:16) and is the
privilege of every believer who will accept it (Luke 5:15).
SANCTIFICATION: Sanctification is a defines yet progressive work of Grace, as
taught in the Scriptures, which leads to holiness (Rom. 6:22). Christians should
lead a life of holiness, “follow peace with all men, and holiness without which
no man shall see the Lord” (Heb. 12:14). Sanctification in the believers is
demonstrated by an act of separation from anything considered sinful in the
Scriptures and of dedication to God (Thes.5:23; 2Peter 3:18 ; Phil.3:12-14;
1Cor. 1:30). The believer is enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit to obey the
command of holiness because of who he is in Christ, realizing that his
identification with Him (Christ) in His death and resurrection by faith
necessitates every faculty be controlled by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 6:1-11,13,
8:1,2,13; Gal. 2:20 ; Phil. 2:12,13; 1Peter 1:15).
THE GOD APPOINTED MINISTRY: God by the Holy Spirit, definitely calls whom He
desires to serve in the five fold ministry (Eph.4:11) and qualifies the one He
called with power, talent, wisdom, and gifts pertaining to that offices (1Cor.
12:28). “Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called”
(1Cor.7:20).
TITHING: Christians (including Ministers) should tithe to the storehouse
(Mal.3:10,11). “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me, but ye say, wherein
have we robbed thee? In tithes and Offerings” (Mal.3:8) Church members should
tithe to the local church where they receive their spiritual food . Ministries
should also tithe to their head church and covering.
THE RESURRECTION OF THE SAINTS: We believe in the Pre-millennial coming of our
Lord in the cloud, to catch away His bride. He angel said “This same Jesus shall
so come in like manner,” (Acts 1: 11). The resurrection of those who have fallen
asleep in Christ is “The blessed hope” of the church, “The dead in Christ shall
rise first; then we which are alive and rein shall be caught up together with
them in the cloud to meet the Lord in the air” (Thes.4:16,17; also Rom. 8:23;
1Cor. 15:51; Titus 2:13).
THE SECOND ADVERT OF CHRIST: The second coming of Christ includes the “catching
away” (rapture) of the “Church” (Saints) (1Thes.4:16,17), followed by the actual
visible return of Christ with his saints to reign on earth for one thousand
years (Zech. 14:55; Mat.24:27, 30; Rev. 1:7, Rev.19:11-14, Rev.20:16).
THE FINAL JUDGMENT: There will be a final judgment which the wicked dead will be
raise and judged according to their works. Whosoever was not found written in the
Book of Life together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false
prophets, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burn
with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Mat.25:46 ; Mark 9:43-48;
Rev. 19:20; Rev.20:11-15, Rev. 21:8).
THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH: We, according to his promise, look for new
heaven and a new earth wherein dwell righteousness (2Pet. 3:13 ; Rev.21:1)
GOVERNMENTAL DIVISION : God has created and ordained all authority consisting of
three divisions: a) the home; b) the church; and c) the state. All persons are
subject to the authorities of each divisions, but all (including the authorities
themselves) are answerable to God and governed by His Word. God has given each
divisions specific Biblical responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities
with the understanding that no division holds the right to infringe upon the
other. The home, the church, and the state are equal and sovereign in their
respective Biblically assigned responsibility under God (Rom. 13:1-7; Eph.
5:22-24; Heb. 13:17; 1 Pet. 2:13-14).
HUMAN SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP: God has commanded that
"NO" intimate sexual activity
be engaged outside of marriage. And that marriage should be between one "Man" and one
"Woman" assuring growth, and strength of the family. We further believe that any form of
homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication,
adultery and pornography are without exception sinful perversions and is not to
be acceptable character, lifestyle, preferences, or behavior within any body of
the church. (Gen. 2:24;
Gen. 19:5, 13; Gen. 26:8-11; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom 1:26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1, 6:9; 1 Thess.
4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).
ABORTION: human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living
human being. Abortion is murder and constitutes the unjustified, unexcused
taking of unborn human life. We reject the practice or encouragement in the
aborting of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection,
birth or population control, or where the mental well-being of the mother are
acceptable (Job 3:16; Psalms 51:5; 139:14-16; Isa. 44:24; 49:1, 5; Jer. 1:5;
20:15-18; Luke 1:44).
LEGAL MATTERS : Christians are prohibited from bringing civil lawsuits against
other Christians or the church to resolve personal disputes. We believe the
church possesses all the resources necessary to resolve personal disputes
between members. However, a Christian may seek compensation for injuries from
another Christian's insurance company as long as the claim is pursued without
malice or slander (1 Cor. 6:1-8; Eph. 4:31-32).
OBLIGATED ACT OF GIVING: Every Christian, as the stewards of that portion of
God's wealth entrusted to them, are obligated to support their local church and
their Central / Parent Organization financially. Our God has established the
tithe as a basis for giving. Every Christian should also give other offerings
sacrificially and cheerfully to (a) support of the church, (b) the relief of
those in need, and (c) the spread of the Gospel. We should keep in mind that
Christians must relinquishes all rights to direct the use of the tithe or
offering once the gift has been made (Gen. 14:20; Prov. 3:9-10; Acts 4:34-37; 1
Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:6-7; Gal. 6:6; Eph. 4:28; 1 Tim. 5:17-18; 1 John 3:17). |
